For the first time, the EOC will take place as an online event. It is planned that about 250 European representatives from politics, business and research will discuss with the participants, exchange ideas and plans. Germany plays a special role.

On the occasion of Germany’s EU Council Presidency, the European organic umbrella organisation, IFOAM EU, and the German organic association, Bund Ökologische Lebensmittelwirtschaft (BÖLW), are inviting participants to the European Organic Congress (EOC) this year. Due to the corona pandemic, the conference will be organised as an online congress. The date for the European Organic Congress is July 1 to 3, 2020.

Germany reports on future strategy

Under the congress motto “Organic in Action”, participants will discuss current industry topics with around 250 representatives from all over Europe. Among the guests are experts from politics, research, agriculture and food industry.

On the agenda are topics such as the new European Action Plan, the reform of the EU Common Agricultural Policy and the industry’s own Organic Action Plan on Climate Change, which will be published at the EOC. As host country, Germany will report on its experience with the Future Strategy for Organic Agriculture.
