The Federal Ministry of Agriculture offers farmers, scientists, agricultural and environmental associations to participate online in the development of the “Agricultural Strategy 2035”.
Until 31 August 2020, interested parties can contribute their approaches from theory, research and practice to the discussion process leading to the “Agriculture Strategy 2035”. The online platform of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) went online in early July. According to the responsible persons, more than 2,250 people have already registered, more than 1,000 contributions and almost as many comments and non-public feedback.
Development with resource conservation
The “Agricultural Strategy 2035” deals with yield security, resource conservation, biodiversity and sustainability. It also presents new crop rotations and their economic viability, and addresses conflicts of interest. The BMEL’s agriculture strategy aims to show how agricultural use and the safeguarding of basic supplies for humans and animals can be better combined and further developed – while better protecting soil as a resource.
